The R3
The R3, known as the Charleroi ring road, surrounds the city itself, passing through the A15/E42, Heppignies, Châtelineau, Châtelet, Couillet, Marcinelle, the A503, Montigny-le-Tilleul, Fontaine-l'Évêque, and Trazegnies. Fully completed in 1988, it is the second largest ring road in the country. The central berms featured Schréder RX in I and ACEC RBE in H. For the side berms, it was mainly Schréder GZM-GSO. The first LED lights arrived in 2017 for the Heppignies interchange. The axis was completely relamped in 2023.
