The Walloon motorway ranking
TOP 1 : SCHREDER GZM
With over 10,370 units installed, the Schréder GZM was the most popular streetlight fixture on the Walloon motorways. It was impossible not to come across one. It held the top spot on more than 15 road axis, despite other models being very prevalent before its introduction in 1981.
TOP 2 : SCHREDER RX
Specifically designed for motorway lighting, the Schréder RX ranks second with over 9,800 luminaires. It is also the most popular model for central verges. The H version is the most widespread in the range, but more than 20 variants of this model were installed along our motorways between 1970 and 1991.
TOP 3 : SCHREDER GSO
The Schréder GSO ranks 3rd in the standings, with over 5700 units found between 2013 and 2017. It is also the first low-pressure sodium luminaire to have illuminated our motorways. It was very popular in the 70s and 80s, to the point of being number one during that period.

TOP 4 : SCHREDER VTP
The successor to the Schréder TXS is the second most popular luminaire for central verges. More than 2670 units have been installed between the late 1990s and 2018. The Schréder VTP has also replaced a significant number of Schréder RX, particularly on the A4 (E42), the A7 (E19/E42), etc. Like its predecessor, the H version was the most widespread.
TOP 5 : SCHREDER MC
If we removal the Schréder RX, the Schréder MC is the most popular high-pressure sodium fixture on our motorways, with over 1300 units installed. The MC2 is the most widely used of the three, illuminating bridges and exits. The MC12 is the least common, but could be found in rest areas.
TOP 6 : SCHREDER VTC
The most modern luminaire from the Liège brand for low-pressure sodium is ranked sixth with over 1250 units. Massively illuminating the Loncin interchange during the 2000s, it also sold well for the new exits created during that same period. Despite its popularity, the Schréder GZM established itself against it.
TOP 7 : SCHREDER ONYX
With its immense popularity on the R9, the Schréder Onyx was a great classic of the motorways located in Charleroi. 395 fixtures have been located in the region. Apart from this area of the country, it is practically non-existent on other Walloon road axis.

TOP 8 : SCHREDER TXS
The Schréder TXS is only in eighth place in the ranking, with the Schréder RX and VTP overshadowing it significantly. Nevertheless, over 350 luminaires have illuminated our motorways. The first units were installed in Reuleau (Ciney) on the A4 (E411) during the 1990s. This same route had the highest number of them.
TOP 9 : SCHREDER SAPHIR
After the rehabilitation of several roadways, the Schréder Saphir has become the new trendy luminaire for the Walloon motorways. 277 units have been installed. The routes with the most installations are on the A3 (E40) between Cheratte and Blégny, as well as on the Polleur bridge on the A27 (E42).

TOP 10 : ACEC RBE
After taking over the design of the RX luminaire, the ACEC RBE is the most popular luminaire of the Carolorégienne brand with 276 units. It was the R3 that had the most, aside from this axis, it remained occasional. Nevertheless, it fully deserves its tenth place.
TOP 11 : SCHREDER SATURNE 3S
The Schréder Saturne 3S is one of the most popular decorative light fixtures in the country, having illuminated a number of rest areas on our motorways. In total, 266 units have been installed in all corners of Wallonia.
TOP 12 : SCHREDER SATURNE
Just like its little sister, the Saturne 3S, the Schréder Saturne has been installed as lighting for rest areas. 252 luminaires were installed before the arrival of the SealSafe generation.

TOP 13 : SCHREDER VAL
This luminaire, designed specifically for the lighting of the city of Liège, has managed to establish itself against more "classic" models, with 167 units located on the A602 and A604 motorways. The first units installed were set up around 2000 on the Pays de Liège bridge (A602(E25)).
TOP 14 : SCHREDER RT
The most versatile and well-known projector from the Liège brand is ranked 14th. With 135 lights installed on our motorways, it is most prevalent at exit 7 located in Theux on the A27 (E42). It has also illuminated a number of bridges.

Illuminating only the Bassenge bridge and two rest areas, the Schréder Neos ranks 15th in the standings with 106 luminaires.
TOP 16 : SCHREDER Z
One of Schréder's biggest successes in the world is only in 16th place in the Walloon motorway ranking with 96 units. The Schréder Z has mainly illuminated rest areas located in the province of Luxembourg. Only the A4 (E411) and the A26 (E25) feature them.
TOP 17 : SCHREDER TXN
After the enormous success of the Schréder RX, the TXN unfortunately did not follow the same path as its predecessor, only illuminating rest areas. 81 luminaires were found, placing it in 17th position in the ranking.

TOP 18 : EUROPHANE PILOTE
With 78 light fixtures installed solely at the Froyennes rest area located on the A8 (E429/E42), the Europhane Pilote ranks 18th in the Walloon motorway ranking
TOP 19 : SCHREDER GTN
This high-pressure sodium fixture taking the shapes of the Schréder GSO, is ranked 19th. The Schréder GTN was only installed on the A26 (E25) with 75 units in Sprimont and Liège.
TOP 20 : SCHREDER RADIAL
This rarely used projector in the country is the 20th luminaire in this ranking. It was mainly located in the province of Liège, illuminating the top of the noise barrier. 67 Schréder Radial units have been installed.
TOP 21 : SCHREDER DTN
Only available at rest areas and at the entrance to Liège via the A26 (E25), 58 units of Schréder DTN have illuminated our Walloon motorways and thus rank 21st in the ranking.
TOP 22 : INDustria CIRCO
The Industria Circo is the most popular 100% Dutch fixture, installed on the motorways of Wallonia. It can only be found at two rest areas located in the province of Hainaut. There were 47 units counted, and it ranks 22nd in the classification.
TOP 23 : GENERAL ELECTRIC ODYSSEY
The General Electric Odyssey is the only American luminaire to have illuminated our motorways. 37 units were installed in 2013 at exit 28 of the R0 in Waterloo, replacing old GTN luminaires.
TOP 24 : SCHREDER CALYPSO
Very popular for roundabouts, the Schréder Calypso has illuminated those located on the A4 (E411) near Namur and Wavre. 34 units were present on the Walloon motorway network, placing it 24th in the ranking.
TOP 25 : INDustria ARC
With 20 light fixtures found on the R0 and R3, the Industria Arc is in 25th place. This luminaire has, however, established itself well on the Flemish network as well as on major routes.
TOP 26 : ACEC MTP-X
Due to the immense success of certain Schréder luminaires, the ACEC MTP-X has struggled to establish itself on the Walloon motorway network. It can only be found on the motorways located in the provinces of Hainaut and Namur. With 18 units, it is a 26th place that the Carolorégienne brand has found hard to digest.
TOP 27 : SCHREDER GEMA
The Gema luminaire is intended for decorative lighting and not for motorway use. 15 fixtures have illuminated the A604 on the Seraing bridge.

The Schréder DM is the only model on the Walloon motorways to be equipped with mercury lamps. 9 luminaires were present at two rest areas on the A3 (E40) in Herve.

TOP 31 : SCHREDER ALBANY
The Schréder Albany is a contemporary luminaire and is therefore not intended for motorway lighting. Nevertheless, five units have been installed at the entrance to Dison on the A27 (E42).
TOP 32 : SCHREDER GZB
Despite the enormous success of its counterpart (the GZM), the GZB is, without a doubt, the least popular luminaire on the Walloon motorways, with only one example installed at exit 26 of the A3 (E40) located in Hélécine.
